The detailed view. Pricing breakeven math, the AI Assistant up close, the MCP server for engineers, and the full capability inventory.
Our 1999-vintage unique feature
Most load tests run a fixed number of users and tell you the response time. User Capacity Analysis finds the inflection point - the moment your site stops meeting your SLA. Use our defaults, or define your own performance goals.
AI that shows its work
Every recommendation is explained before it’s applied. The assistant tells you what it’s about to do, you accept or correct, then it does it.
| Task | Without AI Assistant | With AI Assistant |
|---|---|---|
| Configuring a complex test (scenario, parameterization, correlation) | 6 hours of recording and manual correlation | ~1 hour, AI explains each move |
| Writing the bottleneck report | 6-8 hours to author from scratch | ~1 hour to review and edit AI output |
Times based on real engagements. Your mileage will vary by application complexity and test scope.
The learning loop
Underneath the AI Assistant sits ASM, the rules-based expert system we have refined since 1999. When the AI solves a correlation problem the built-in rules don't cover, its fix is written back into ASM as a new detection rule, permanently. Every future recording gets the accumulated rules applied up-front, before the AI is invoked. The first test against your application is where the AI earns its keep; a few test cases later, most of your application's quirks are rules, and the AI only handles what is genuinely new.
Most AI tools remember by growing a prompt file that is re-sent, and re-billed, on every request. WPLoadTester stores what it learned as deterministic rules: zero tokens to apply, identical behavior every run.
Bring Your Own Cloud
Run a 10,000-user test about seven times a year and the flat license has paid for itself. Run weekly and per-VU-hour SaaS bills clear $78,000 while ours stays under $9,700.
| 10,000-VU × 1h tests per year | SaaS @ $0.15/VU-hr | WPLoadTester Cloud (license + EC2) | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 (monthly) | $18,000 | $6,900 + $24 = $6,924 | $11,076 · 62% |
| 26 (biweekly) | $39,000 | $6,900 + $52 = $6,952 | $32,048 · 82% |
| 52 (weekly) | $78,000 | $6,900 + $104 = $7,004 | $70,996 · 91% |
Annual lease (10,000 VU) from our published pricing. SaaS rate is the published per-VU-hour at OpenText Core Performance Engineering, Grafana Cloud k6 Pro, and Azure Load Testing’s first 10,000 VU-hour tier (~$0.15). EC2 on m5.large × $0.096/hr in us-east-1 (April 2026). Reserved/Spot make it cheaper.
Two front doors
For non-technical testers. Chat with the assistant inside the WPLoadTester GUI. It records the scenario, configures the test, and drafts the report for you to review.
For engineers. WPLoadTester 7 exposes its test cases, results, and AI workflow as a Model Context Protocol server. Point Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible agent at it.
Try WPLoadTester 7 in your own cloud, on your own AI keys.
Free single-machine edition. Cloud licenses run distributed load in your own AWS account.
